Carnegie, VIC – Figjam Cafe

Egg and Bacon Roll // Flat White

Sometimes, brunch spots can get very unimaginative with their menu. Figjam cafe does not have this problem. Although they use many classic brunch ingredients, somehow they’ve managed to create an interesting menu that really makes them stand out from the standard smashed avo on toast’s. As you’ll know from my previous post, ‘fritters are rocking my world’, and Figjam was the one to start my obsession. Even a simple Bacon and Egg roll has been designed so that it’s full of fresh flavours with its swiss cheese and tomato relish – which by the way, I could eat buckets of.

I mean talk about a great way to improve your standard hash brown! I’m calling this ‘gourmet brunch’, just without the through the roof prices and petty portion sizes.

As convenient as it is that this cafe is just down the road from me, I would gladly make a trip to this lovely little spot (128 Koornang Rd, Carnegie VIC 3163), it’s totally worth it.
